…and I claim 3rd in my age group!
I’m pretty chuffed, completely unexpected, almost didn’t even check the standings before I left because I’m just not that fast and my time on this course was certainly not one of my faster (2:13:24) but I guess with the terrain (OMG hills – made the Muskoka 1/2 Marathon course look flat) my 2:13 was fast enough. I wasn’t far off the mark for 2nd (4 minutes), but almost 30 minutes off the mark for 1st in my age group (age group winner was 5th overall).
So yea 
Yay me! My 1st podium!!! Hurray!!! 
Big ups to the folks who organize Brazen Racing – I’ve been in much larger events with poorer aide stations and poorer grab-bags and t-shirts. You guys do a great job. Super-big-ups to the volunteers! You guys were amazing. Thanks! Your cheering, hootin and hollerin make it so much more fun!
